After a mid-day siesta, I returned to Playita Blanca to swim and study. While I sat abaja de los arboles, I watched a pelican paddle around in the surf unafraid of the children nearby. Then our attention turned to the monkey riot. Two male howler monkeys chased each other back and forth in the branches overhead. What acrobats! They seemed to be hollering about a territory dispute and taking things quite seriously. Each tried to convince the other that different trees were "mine!"
As the western clouds turned pink, I walked out on the rocky point that had been completely submerged this morning. I explored the tide pools. Vi muchos animales pequenos.
Tomorrow I will go to the beach early. One last swim in la mar before riding the bus to Monteverde.

Your life sounds delightful!! I am inspired by the moisture you are enveloped in by the beach. Maybe I'll get up and go the Oregon shore!
Love,
CJ
Aiehhh! la vida es muy bonito. La senorita escribe muy buen.
Monkey males are very territorial, mankind definitely has not evovled far from the trees. Can't wait to hear about your bus ride to Monteverde.
