blue skies

This is my favorite season in New Mexico. It is especially nice to walk in the woods with blue skies and lovely wildflowers.
Today I walked down the street to my Spanish teacher's home. She incites lively conversations and corrects my pronunciation. Yes, I am still working on my verbs!
Silas arrived home from school this afternoon and appreciated the green chile havarti cheese bread that I made. Now he is reading a novel for English and I should be reading my textbook for a course on bi-lingual education.
Saturday at the farmers market I bought eggplant, onions, tomatoes, squash, and green chiles. I still have apples. It was especially nice to begin my day with the music and colors and aromas of the market.
Last weekend my aunt and uncle from Pennsylvania visited while on their way to the Grand Canyon and other places farther west. They brought maple syrup and oodles of blueberries. I was happy to hear Uncle Howard tell family tales.
Their visit coincided with the Donna's visit. How many years has it been? Her children are grown and she is moving to Georgia. We talked nearly non-stop.
The Sunday afternoon rain chased us to the Museum of International Folk Art. We saw dolls, chairs, pueblo models, and countless articles of textile art.
I am doing a poor job blogging. However, I am just beginning my interesting school assignments. I still try to make progress each week in my house, too.
I didn't get outside yesterday.
I will this afternoon.
