I have two bowls on my table. (Liam the potter) One holds beautiful smooth rocks from Agate Beach in northern California. Costa Rica seashells fill the other bowl.
A brass bucket for kindling sits on the tiles next to the woodstove.
My textbooks are here and I am ready for my classes to begin this week.
Last week I drove to Lamy and retrieved my hens from Claire's farm. Dora, Brita, and Casey eat bugs in the backyard, cackle, and lay brown or green eggs.
Tomorrow morning I will walk down the street to the home of my Spanish instructor. Ah, all of those tricky verb tenses!
Tonight Silas has a friend arriving for supper and we are eating lasagna. Right now he is sorting clothes in the livingroom and I am quite distracted. "Hey mom, do you want this sweater?" "Did I ever show you this fossil?" Hmmm, he seems to have other belongings mixed in with the clothes he is organizing.
I am still unpacking boxes, moving furniture, and searching for items. I focus on this daunting task when I am not dancing or singing or sending emails to friends. Silas and I are sorting and organizing. His classes begin this week, also.
The clothes that the boys no longer wear I will give away.
This week I want to get back to the woods.
