semana santa

Ahhhhh, a whole week without school! Actually, I have a number of school projects to complete. However, I am approaching everything at a relaxing pace. Today I want to try to figure out filing my IRS taxes electronically. First, I sat outside with a cup of tea, watching quetzals cavorting high in the trees. Then, I wanted to catch up with some email. Now, it may be time for a little something, as Pooh Bear liked to describe his honey snacks. Eventually, I will attempt my taxes.

This Friday will be the performance of Faure's Requiem. We only have one more rehearsal so I plan to practice everyday. The music is captivatingly beautiful.

Last night at the church in Santa Elena another chorus performed. This high school group was from Hudson High School in Wisconsin. Their singing was fabulous and the program varied from Cuban and African songs to Mozart and Mendelssohn.

On Saturday I used a taxi to transport my heavy groceries because I wanted to conserve my energy for English country dancing. Frolicsome folks filled the meetinghouse with two long-way sets and enjoyed the dances called by Heather and Jonathan. Walzing and the waxing moon, mmmmmmmmmm.
